Masks of stone and masks of jade
Masks of tongues that may persuade
The devil in his throne of fire
To give in to his own desire
And destroy the masks of all you know
With everything but face to show
Giving birth to honest plain
Where lying people still remain

Thoughts and feelings all will hide
Behind facades that won’t subside
With apathy towards the soul
Sacrifice for self-control
Masks of gold and masks of steel
Some masks never made to peel
But slowly give in to erosion
Or outburst of your self-emotion
And for a time would give away
The things that flee from light of day
Against the will of mask and wearer
Now an honest problem bearer

Masks of watchers and masks of clowns
Masks that veil their smiles n’ frowns
The mask of a man with fate unfair
Blanketing a lifeless stare
Mask of a needless, bag of paper
Connected by a diet’s stapler
The mask of a sick, disturbing male
A Paedophile by electric mail
Terrorist mask on television
More than myth or superstition
A Balaclava or tired stocking
The Masks of jesters ever mocking

And then there’s that without a cover
A face that grown to discover
It’s not the mask of a fiction stare
But solely what is under there
A man that can finally show his face
Without fear of taunts or self disgrace
And be proud of what was born with him
Not a sinless self in a world of sin
But one that knows he’s bound for wrong
But lifts his head and struggles on

It’s in the bible where prayers confide
A man like that was crucified
And rose from death to show the land
He was nothing more than a mask-less man
The Son of God and the son of Mary
Under sanctified in the dictionary
Sacrifice for self control
Of the human race and modern world
Satan thwarted of all his planning
Now custom to his eternal damning

So one day when the nuke is gone
Weapons are dead, we’ve carried on
We’ll take off all our masks of sin
Open our eyes and lift our chin
To a world that seemed imaginary
Ephemeral land of a formless fairy
Until then we wallow here
In the present land of masks and fear

I hope that I am one step closer
To breed honesty and self exposure
When I remove my mask of mine
And like that man, come to find
It’s when the world becomes mask free
We’ll begin to live in harmony
And fulfil the wish of the holy maker
A world of life without a faker
In my spare time during school, so yeh its taken a while
just something that seemed to occur to me as everywhere

he hehe has it ever accured to u that these masks that all wear are just bonds set upon by mother, father and the all mighty him self for without these masks our control of free will is destroyedand even though the maskless creatures above have no mask they fall under will of god him/herself. just remeber that there is more than 1 person in our or any other history that has lead way to change and broken the bonds of there own mask

ONE thing I did ok in was spelling. Civilisation=Civilization, Fulfil=Fullfill. I'm not about to go through the poem and pick out what was wrong with it those are just what stood out to me. Besides I can only really think of what I loved in this poem. I've touched on this subject many times in my poetry so it is quite a favorite of mine, and you did a beautiful job at it.
